Pump Gear 3D Models: STL Gear Pumps and Drives

This collection gathers STL files for pump gears and gear-driven pumps: external and helical gear sets, drill-powered pump bodies, and replacement gears for small machines. The models differ in tooth profile, part count and how the drive connects, so one search leads to very different builds. It helps when you need a gear that matches an existing pump or want to assemble a pump for 3D printing. «Pump Gear 3D Models: STL Gear Pumps and Drives»

Several families of models appear here. External gear pumps use two meshing gears inside a housing, while helical and double helical versions angle the teeth to change how the load travels along the shaft. Drill- and motor-driven units add a coupling or gearbox between the tool and the pump chamber, and replacement gears for oil or vacuum pumps are usually single parts shaped around an existing shaft. Fidget and decorative gear pieces share the same tooth geometry but have no fluid path.

Before printing, open the author's model page and check the bore diameter, tooth count and module, since these decide whether the gear will mesh with the part you already have. Look at how many parts the assembly contains, the order they go together, and whether the author states that supports are needed. Material and slicer settings listed by the author, plus photos of real prints, tell you more about the result than the render does.

If the first search is too narrow, try related terms: gear pump, oil pump gear, peristaltic pump, rotor, impeller, helical gear, planetary gearset, gearbox. Adding the drive or the fitting you have in mind, such as a drill adapter or a hose connection, narrows the results further. Browsing the neighbouring topics of pumps, gears and mechanical drives often turns up a model that fits the same job.

FAQ

Häufige Fragen

How is a gear pump model different from a peristaltic pump model?
A gear pump moves liquid between two meshing gears and a close-fitting housing, so the clearances between teeth and walls matter. A peristaltic pump squeezes a flexible tube with rollers instead, so its parts are shaped around the tube rather than around gear teeth.
How do I match a printed gear to an existing pump shaft?
Compare the shaft diameter, the bore in the model and the way the gear is fixed, such as a flat, a keyway or a grub screw. Tooth count and module also have to match the gear it runs against, so measure the old part before choosing a file.
Do gear pump models need supports?
It depends on the orientation the author designed for. Housings with internal cavities and overhanging ports often need them, while flat gears usually print without. The model page or the included instructions normally state the intended orientation.
Can a gear model be scaled to another size?
Uniform scaling changes the tooth size along with everything else, so a scaled gear will no longer mesh with the original counterpart. If you need a different size, look for a model with the tooth count and module you need rather than resizing an existing one.
