Fishing Rod Holder

These rod holders attach to the gunwale of my aluminium boat; they can be altered and edited in Tinkercad. I used a 0.6mm nozzle with

0.4mm layer height. The top and bottom thirds were printed with 30% infill and the middle third was 100% infill. "Joey" was hollow to allow me to fit LED lights with 4 button batteries just as a gimmick; I drilled holes in the front to allow the light to shine through. It probably weakens

the holder a bit, but it was printed in PLA and has stood up to a fair amount of use (only broke one when kicked accidentally).

A 5 mm hole in the top allows a 6mm wing screw to be screwed in to lock it on the gunwale (I tapped a 6mm hole for the screw, but screwing the screw directly into the plastic should cut its own thread).
