Ender-3 V3/V3 Plus Toolhead Cover

A replacement toolhead cover for the Ender-3 V3 and V3 Plus printers

I was DMd by another user to ask if I had come across or designed a replacement Ender-3 V3 Plus toolhead cover, as theirs had been broken. I hadn't, but was intrigued, so I took the cover off mine, and in the process cracked it (PSA - Always remove the E3V3 style covers from the top).

So I found one, but wanted something closer to the original, so I remixed it to produce this.

Printing

This is quite an involved shape, so definitely needs supports. I used the following:

- 0.2mm Layer Height

- 4/4/4 Walls/Top/Bottom with Monotonic Line pattern

- 15% 3D Infill

- Tree(auto)/Organic

- On Build Plate Only

- 0.25mm Top Z Distance

- 0.2mm Top Interface Spacing

- 1mm Support/Object XY Distance

- No Brim

I found that with thin-nose pliers and curved tweezers I was able to remove the internal supports relatively easily.

The silver Ring is unchanged from the original, so I've included it here. It prints easily as-is.

I have printed in eSun PETG-HS and Jayo PLA+ - the latter looks better so I'll be trying that out first. I don't think that the Toolhead Cover gets hot, but I guess I'll find out. I checked it with a thermal camera when printing, and it seemed ok, but if you know better then please add a comment.
