Kohaku Koi Keychain / Keyring

Manual or CFS colour changes required:

Designed in a similar style to my Koi multi-colour flexi models, the keyrings can be printed using a CFS system, or by inserting a PAUSE statement at each filament change and manually changing the filament. (Two colour changes per layer) The model has colour in the top eight layers (at 0.2mm layer height) but print well with colour changes in just the top 5, if manually changing colours.

I inserted the PAUSE immediately before the ;CP TOOLCHANGE WIPE statement, to ensure that the change was done over the prime tower, not the model.

Design Concept

The Kohaku Koi Keychain is inspired by the traditional Kohaku koi fish, renowned for its beautiful red and white coloring. This design aims to capture the elegance and symbolism of the koi, representing perseverance and resilience.

Use

This keychain not only functions as a practical accessory to keep your keys organized, but it also serves as a symbolic decoration piece that can be employed as a charming charm or a distinct decorative element for bags and backpacks.

Printing Suggestions

To emphasize the vibrant red and white colors, use dual-extrusion printing with red and white PLA or paint the colors post-print. The recommended layer height is 0.1-0.2mm for capturing fine details like the fish scales and fins.

Assembly Instructions

No assembly is required. Simply attach your keys through the provided loop at the end of the koi keychain.
