Description

Important Notes in Advance:

For this you will need super glue and possibly a little patience and post-processing! A heat source such as a lighter or torch is also helpful to smooth out the supported areas and adjust the color! The tolerances for the plug connections are chosen to be very tight so that they hold stably. Please try BEFORE gluing whether everything fits satisfactorily! Due to the small connectors and possibly improperly calibrated printers/materials or simply due to uneven cooling, inaccurate sizes can occur here! I had this problem with my test! In that case, it makes sense to simply shorten the connectors by 1-2mm. You can easily cut them off with pliers! To avoid mixing up the legs, one leg has no connectors, but is simply pushed into each other.

This model requires a bit of post-processing! Removing the supports is not easy and takes time and a steady hand! Painting after printing as desired is up to you!

Since I have no talent for painting, I didn't do it for the test print!

About this Model

Since Sword Art Online is one of my favorite animes, I started tinkering around a bit at some point. I was able to finish the project now and on a very long evening I thought I'd just slice it "real quick" in the slicer and print a test. The test turned out impressively well, so I just had to upload the model! I hope you will have as much fun with this model as I did.

Unfortunately, I'm not a great artist at all, so I avoided trying to paint the model.

Basically, I always print such tests with PLA, but I would recommend PETG or ABS to you for easier post-processing, as these materials are easier to sand than PLA. However, please create your own print profiles with well-calibrated material for this. Since this is a model with very fine details, the figure is best printed at 0.12mm if you are using a 0.4mm nozzle.

That's how I did it and the result turned out really well! I printed the bases myself at 0.2mm with adaptive layer height for slightly finer edges.

The print takes a while but it's worth it!

I would be super happy if you could post pictures of your makes, especially painted ones!
