Description
Hi friends, today I made some pegs for a camping tent. I know there are many out there, but I wanted to contribute by designing a herringbone version that grips better in sandy soil.
There are no mountains in my area, so my campsites are mostly by the sea on the sand. However, these little pegs work well in the hills too. I'm not sure about the mountains, but it's worth a try—give them a go and let me know how they perform.
There are two versions of the pegs: one with a 10mm hole to allow larger cables to pass through for anchoring the awning, and the standard peg without a hole, which is used to secure the tent to the ground using the standard hooks sewn onto the tent.
The dimensions are 150mm for the peg without the hole, and 168mm for the version with the hole, with a width and thickness of 10mm.
I designed the pegs to be robust so you don't lose them at the beach, as the sand can sometimes make pegs disappear too.
The pegs feature two lugs to prevent the tent hook from slipping off.
I printed them in PLA+, but you can also print them in ABS or PETG if needed.
I hope you find them useful. Happy printing, friends!
