Description
Bring some fun to your doll collection with this realistic, highly detailed toy scooter! Perfectly scaled for 14-inch to 18-inch dolls (such as American Girl, Our Generation, Glitter Girls, and WellieWishers), this miniature scooter is an awesome addition to any doll playset.
It has been meticulously designed for 3D printing with reinforced stress points, ensuring it is durable enough for everyday playtime while maintaining crisp, clean geometric lines.
Design Features Perfect Proportions: Tailored to look natural and fit seamlessly alongside standard 14" to 18" dolls. Play-Ready Durability: Structural joints are optimized to handle being handled by kids. Flexible Printing Options: Print the tires separately in TPU to assemble onto the rims, or print the tires and rims together as a single piece in TPU for a quick, rugged build. Easy Customization: Designed to print clean with extra material intentionally left in crucial areas for a perfect post-print finish drill and fit.
Assembly & Post-Processing Instructions This model is designed with extra material left on the rims, frame, and steering shaft to allow for a precise custom fit via finish drilling.
Tires & Rims Configuration:
Option A: Print the tires in TPU, then stretch and assemble them directly onto your printed PLA rims. Option B: Print the tires and rims together as a single combined part using PLA. Drilling & Prep:
Clean out the holes in the frame and steering shaft using a #52 drill bit (1.61mm). Clean out the holes in the rims using a #51 drill bit (1.7mm). Wheel Axles: Secure the rims/tires onto the frame using a 3D 1-1/4" finish nail as the shaft. Cut the nail to length and file any sharp edges completely smooth. (Note: Other hardware can be substituted for the shafts if preferred). Securing the Axles: Once the wheels and shafts are in place, apply a small dot of CA (cyanoacrylate) super glue over the ends of the shafts to lock them securely. Kickstand: Snap the kickstand directly into the designated slot on the frame. Handlebars: Finally, align the handlebars correctly on top of the steering shaft and apply CA glue to set them permanently.
