Description

A small 3D-printed RC car I designed from scratch in Fusion 360, plus the wireless remote that drives it. All the mechanical parts in this kit are printed, including the gears, the differential and the tyres.

What's in the kit (26 files): - Chassis (90 x 162 mm) with front and rear sections and a gearbox cover - Differential: gear, 2 housing parts, plus a locked version if you want both wheels driven the same - Motor mount, motor gear and big gear - Steering: front hubs left/right, steering arms left/right and a servo arm (Ackermann-style steering) - Rear hubs, axles, cardan shafts and a TPU drive shaft - Wheel rims and treaded tyres (Ø51 mm, print in TPU) - Remote: two-part gamepad shell for 2 joysticks, an ESP32 and an 18650 cell - README with how many of each part to print

Electronics I used (not included): - ESP32 WROOM in the car and in the remote, talking over ESP-NOW - DRV8876 motor driver + micro DC gear motor - MG996R servo for steering - 2 x KY-023 joystick modules in the remote - 2S 7.4 V LiPo + 3 A buck converter to 5 V in the car, 18650 Li-ion cell in the remote

Honest note: this was my first RC car. It drives and steers, but with my power setup it's on the slow side. A faster gear motor will make it quicker. The mechanical parts (diff, steering, hubs) all work as designed.
