Description

Here is my two-stage filter to purify the air expelled from the chamber of our closed printers. It is a replacement of the original activated carbon filter.

I designed it to accommodate both a Hepa filter and activated carbon , in order to eliminate a greater quantity of impurities from the air before it is expelled from the printer.

As you can see it is very simple to use:

- fill the lower half with the activated carbon - place the grid and place the Hepa filter on top (it is a common cheap filter 80x40x15 mm) - Insert it into the printer as you would do with the original filter - Close the filter vane and you are done. It took you longer to read than to do it! If you want to be able to use a larger quantity of activated carbon, I have designed a variant with a larger container: you can see it by clicking on the image below.

If you print materials that require a completely enclosed chamber, you might want to print my internal powerful air filter. You can check it out by clicking the image below!

Chamber Filter If you expect the air temperature inside your printer to exceed 50°C, I recommend printing in PETG.

Air holes are obtained with a 25% grid fill and without top/bottom layers, do not change these presets on the slicer unless you want a different result than expected.
