Bambu Lab Poop Chute & Storage Drawer System (X2D/ X1C / P1S / P2S)
A rear-mounted purge chute and storage drawer system designed for Bambu Lab X1C, P1S and P2S printers. This system redirects the “poop” neatly into an easy-to-empty drawer while adding useful storage space under your printer.
I originally just wanted a simple way to collect purge “poops” from my Bambu printer… but one thing led to another and before I knew it I’d spent far too many hours in CAD not to print it.
The result is a rear-mounted purge chute and storage drawer system that keeps purge waste contained while also adding useful storage space under your printer.
The chute mounts at the rear of the printer , guiding purge waste neatly down into the front left drawer . When it fills up, simply pull the drawer out and empty it — quick, clean, and easy.
The drawers slide on a simple integrated rail system and have a surprisingly solid feel. The design also includes storage for up to four additional build plates , plus an extra drawer for spare parts , tools, or anything else you’d like to keep close to your printer.
If you decide to try it out I’d love to hear your feedback.
Printing
- Designed for easy printing in PLA - No additional hardware required - Many users have also confirmed it prints great in PETG Assembly & Fit
The tolerances in this design are intentionally quite tight to ensure the drawers feel solid and the parts fit together cleanly.
However, you should never need to use excessive force during assembly .
If any joints feel slightly tight, simply lightly sand or file the mating surfaces . You’ll likely be surprised at just how little material needs to be removed to achieve a perfect fit.
For a smooth build process, I’ve also included an easy-to-follow assembly guide at the bottom of this page which walks through the steps for putting everything together.
Compatibility
Compatible with the following Bambu Lab printers :
- X1 Carbon - P1S - P2S (fits best when using the additional feet inserts available in the print profiles) see note below. - X2D (fits best when using the additional feet inserts available in the print profiles) see note below. NOTE: It turns out the original chute does not work with the X2D or the P2S with the exhaust system. In this case there are a few options for different chutes that work with the exhaust systems. One by '_bravo_bravo' and the other by ‘XhaleLt’
Height added by this model:
- 96 mm for P1S / X1C - 105 mm for P2S / X2D when using the required feet inserts Community
I spent quite a bit of time designing and refining this model so that it prints reliably and fits together nicely without requiring additional hardware.
I’m sharing it here for free with the community, so if you find it useful a boost or rating is hugely appreciated — it really helps support the time spent designing models like this.
Feedback, makes, and improvements are always great to see. It’s awesome watching how people use or adapt the design!
Updates
02/03/2026
Added deeper drawer versions for users who do not plan on printing the build plate rack.
If using these drawers, I recommend printing the brace profile created by “NightGod” to replace the build plate rack. This provides the additional structural support that the rack originally offered.
18/01/2026
Updated drawer front colours to match the images shown. Not sure how I managed to miss that for so long.
15/12/2025
Added a print profile for the feet inserts required to allow the P2S / X2D to fit better on the model.
Huge thanks to @Rmedias for helping with the development of these.
16/05/2025
Improved drawer performance with:
- Additional clearance for drawer fronts - Slightly increased slider offsets for better “slideability” (yes… that’s the technical term 😄) 09/05/2025
Updated the chute print profile to fix an issue encountered by some early users. My sincere apologies to anyone affected.

Print profiles and steps
Two drawers (The original profile) 0.20mm layer height.
Supports are minimal on most of the parts but have them set to auto tree for all plates and you’ll be good.
I did find using normal supports on the chute worked a lot better for the removal of them.
This should all be set in the print profile anyway.
One Big Drawer (requested) This profile has the two drawers combined as one big drawer for extra space for those multicoloured prints and all their extra poops.
The draw fronts will still look like its two drawers but it will open as one.
Still minimal supports required.
Possibly worth glueing the drawer sectioning together for a little bit of extra sturdiness to the draw bottom but will hold together just fine without it.
P2S/ X2D - Feet Inserts Feet inserts to allow for the extra height required for a better fit for the P2S.
Handle’s - With coloured lettering Handle’s with coloured lettering. These were requested but they came out so nice that they are now permanently installed on my own drawers 👌🏼
Deeper Drawers - Use if not printing the build plate rack Heightened drawers to be used to give extra space in the drawers when not using the build plate rack. I'd still suggest using the print profile created by user ‘NightGod’ that replaces with build plate rack with a simple brace instead.
Deeper One Big Drawer - Use if not printing build plate rack Heightened one big drawer to be used to give extra space in the drawers when not using the build plate rack. I'd still suggest using the print profile created by user ‘NightGod’ that replaces with build plate rack with a simple brace instead.
Divided flat poop chute P2S / X2D A divided poop chute so the printer can easily move on the rubber feets during printing. Its designed very flat enabling you to place the printer close to a wall. The ramp of the lower part ends up higher and deeper in the drawer which leads to a better ejection. Compatible with external exhaust kit (left an right version).
Designed to hold on to the back side with 8x1.5mm magnets and/or a screw clip using a original screw above the poop chute.
0.2mm layer, 2 walls, 7% infill I had another plate holder that I preferred to continue using, but figured the side supports were structural was well as functional, so I made a cut down version that adds the needed stiffness and is out of the way of the drawer sides since I plan to use that extra head space for storing taller items.
0.2mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill
Chute bin with 8x2 magnets Made a magnetic version of the chute bin Fits four 8x2mm magnets
- Printed with supports + top Z distance 0.275
Gridfinity for the 2 drawers version. VERSION 2 of this file!
Now WAY better fit and connections. Less filament used.
This is the gridfinity for the 2 drawers version. printed on 2 plates.
Works great with this poop-bin: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2126960-poop-catcher-bin-for-aj-s-under-printer-drawer
One Big Drawer : Single Centered Handle This is a functional change for the "One Big Drawer" version of the X1, P2S, P1S Poop Chute & Under Printer Storage
While the original big drawer uses two separate 30 mm handles, I found that a single, wider handle provides a much cleaner aesthetic and more ergonomic grip for the larger drawer.
Changes made:
- Extended Width: Handle width increased from 30 mm to 60 mm (center-to-center hole spacing). - Centered Branding: Re-centered the "Bambu Lab" logo to maintain the same look on the wider face. - Dual-Point Mounting: Designed to be placed dead-center on the large drawer face. Recommended Print Settings:
- Filament: PETG (Recommended due to weight of the printer). - Walls: 2 - Infill: 15% - Support: No supports needed if printed face-up or on its side. Other notes:
- This print profile includes the P2S feet inserts - For a more secure hold, apply superglue to the handle holes for a permanent fit Original X1, P2S, P1S Poop Chute & Under Printer Storage credit goes to the AJ for a fantastic design!
Gridfinity baseplates + bin for single drawer This profile includes Gridfinity baseplates (with or without magnets support) and ten different bin sizes for the single drawer.
Poop drawer and separator No real special settings required.
I wanted a separator that would catch the poop in the drawer and also allow me to store a few things in the drawer without them getting mixed together and being all over the place. Just a simple addition to an already great print. :)
.24mm layer height for decent speeds.
socket distributor
P2s chute compatible with exhaust fan kit Quick and dirty fix to make the chute compatible with the official bambu exhaust kit. I installed the fan first and then placed it on the riser. Printed on p2s 0.4 using original designers settings
P1S anti vibration feet support Lowers the feet inserts by 5 mm to eliminate the gap between the printer and the riser while preserving the effectiveness of the anti-vibration feet. Make sure the printer is perfectly centered on the riser so it can vibrate as freely as possible without hitting the riser edges.
Includes optional feet risers that can be printed to raise the printer by 2.5 mm. This creates a small visible gap (see pictures) but ensures the printer can vibrate without any restriction.
Optional plateholder faster print This is an optimised Version of the plateholder which can be installed even after you have completely assembled the riser, and glued the parts together. No reprinting of the entire riser is required to add your plateholder.
Ideal for people like me, who glued the base together, only to find out you had to install the plateholders before assembly….
Also ptimised the part to print about 2 hours faster.
drawer divider easy assembly, just stick it anywhere and make the bow as you like.
