Soap Dish - Wood Filament Anti-Clog Retraction Tuned This profile tackles the specific challenges of wood filament printing and offers proprietary adjustments that make it indispensable: Anti-Clog Retraction Protocol (The Game-Changer): I've completely re-engineered the retraction and thermal management settings. Proprietary Tweak: I set a very specific, longer retraction distance paired with a precisely calibrated speed. Effect: This ensures the wood fibers are pulled back quickly and far enough to prevent nozzle clogging on travel moves (the most common Wood filament failure). This fundamentally differentiates it from all standard PLA profiles. Dynamic Speed Control (Preventing Charring): I optimized speeds to achieve significant time savings (without a specific %) but also implemented custom logic to slow down on outer walls and corners. Effect: This ensures the Wood filament doesn't sit in the hot nozzle for too long during direction changes (preventing charring/burning), which results in a smooth, uniform color and texture. Efficient Gyroid Infill (Savings and Function): The standard infill has been replaced with Gyroid at a minimal effective density. Effect: Allows for major print time and material savings while maintaining a solid structure necessary for holding the items and ensuring even water drainage. Water Drainage Fine-Tuning: The flow and speed of top and bottom layers have been slightly adjusted to make the water-contacting surface as smooth and practical for maintenance as possible.
