Description

Meet CushionCradle , the tiniest, coziest spot your earbuds will ever call home. Designed to look like a soft, plush mini-sofa, this little cradle brings all the visual comfort of a squishy cushion while being fully 3D-printed and solid as a rock. It’s that perfect blend of looks soft, feels sturdy that makes it so fun to place on any desk, nightstand, or shelf.

What makes CushionCradle special is the subtle detailing: The creases, the folds, the slouchy silhouette — and most importantly, the realistic indentation in the center. It’s shaped exactly where the AirPods Pro 2 case presses down, giving it that “already lived in” charm, as if your earbuds have been sinking into it for years.

🛋 Designed for AirPods Pro 2 While the model was created using the AirPods Pro 2 case for a perfect fit, the flexible couch-like shape makes it compatible with many other earbud cases as well. Anything with a similar footprint should nestle right into the cushion without a problem.

🔍 Soft look, solid reality Even though CushionCradle looks like a tiny beanbag or leather pillow, it’s a sturdy print with form and structure. Depending on your filament, it can appear velvety, rubbery, matte, silky — but the illusion of softness stays, making it almost irresistible to touch.

🪑 A miniature piece of comfort Place it beside your monitor. Let it chill next to your bed. Or give it as a gift — it’s small, cute, and unexpectedly stylish. Wherever it sits, it brings a cozy personality to your tech setup.

Transform the way your earbuds rest — one tiny cushion at a time.

Print profiles and steps

Standard Profile Air Pod Pro

high_quality_0.08mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill

Optimised, Shorter Printing Time, Better Seam Setting, 0.2mm Much shorter printing time, better Seam setting to hide the seam 0.2mm

Airpods_4_Version_0.16mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill Since my wife loved the Airpods 2 Pro chair so much, she wanted one for her Airpods 4 as well. So I made it a little narrower to fit AirPods 4 .

fuzzy skin 0.28mm layer, 4 walls, 5% infill I changed print speed and temp to get different finishes.

0.18mm layer, 2 walls, 4% infill I liked the idea, but thought there must be a way to make it more efficient. So i reduced the weight of the modell by changing the infill.

Airpods_4_Version_0.08mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill Since my wife loved the Airpods 2 Pro chair so much, she wanted one for her Airpods 4 as well. So I made it a little narrower to fit AirPods 4 .

0.1mm layer, 2 walls, 8% infill This is a small revision of the cushion cradle scaled for the Airpods Pro 3 case (released sept 2025). Original airpod case was 60.6 mm wide, this airpod case is 62.2mm wide. That is a 2.6% increase. I simply scaled the x-axis by 1.026 to get this fit.

This will also still fit the Airpods Pro 1 and 2 cases but theres a bit of wiggle room.

I've included my own print settings here that resulted in a pretty clean print while not wasting much in infill. I printed in PLA over ~ 4 hours and 25 mins
