Description
Customizable Dog Station w/ Magnetic Mount
Mounts magnetically or with screws.
Description
v1.0 | Versatile and decorative station for organizing pet leashes, collars, etc.
Follow me on Makerworld for future design releases!
Boost Me This is my second model design, and while I’ve really grown to love 3D design, this one is quite a bit more complex than my first. Because of that, I spent a lot more time and material tweaking the leash station, which involved two drafts that I had to scrap. If you enjoyed this design, I’d be grateful if you could boost it. As a new creator, your support is super helpful in covering the time and costs of bringing new designs to the community.
Overview
This item will allow you to organize your pet’s leashes, harnesses, collars, and other items. It can be mounted either magnetically or with screws using the included wall plate. The main body of the station attaches to the wall plate using two rows of sliding dovetail joints — providing a secure attachment to the mount while also allowing the station to be easily removed.
The station features two curved shelves with surfaces that have been roughened using Bambu Studio’s fuzzy printing feature. The curved surfaces allow for leashes or harnesses to be draped across the shelf, while the rough surface helps to keep these items from sliding off of the shelf. The front of each of these shelves has a removable, customizable faceplate.
There is also a small ledge below the shelves which contains a series of sockets along the surface of its underside. These sockets allow for the easy installation of the station's hooks, which are secured to the body using removable pins; allowing each of the hooks to be be easily replaced if damaged. The to of the ledge also has a fuzzy-printed surfacei that is slightly inset.
Main Features
- Replaceable Parts: The station has been designed to be reapirable, with the hooks faceplates being fully replaceable. - Anti-Slide Design: This design solves the common “sliding issue” of magnetic mounts under load by combining the pull-force of magnets with the material qualities of standard rubber o-rings to increase static friction force. The additional friction greatly increases the wall plate’s resistance to sliding, removing the need for adhesives. - Surface Protection: Each of the ø36mm o-rings encircles its own ø25mm magnet and sits slightly proud of the rear surface, ensuring that the magnets don't fully contact the metal surface and reducing surfacing marring.

Global Settings
Nozzle Size 0.40mm
Layer Height 0.20mm
Wall Loops 3
Infill 15% Gyroid
Supports Tree (Auto) with PLA interface layer
While these settings are used for the majority of the print. Some of the individual items have been strengthened either in whole or in part by adjustments made to the number of walls used as well as the amount of infill used. For instance, the wall plate’s screw holes have had their sparse infill increased to 60%, while the hooks have had both their wall count and infill increased to 4 and 40% respectively.
Plate #1: Main Body
Print time: ≈ 10.3 hrs.
This plate includes the main body of the leash station. This is the only plate that requires supports.
Plate #2: Hooks & Nameplates
Print time: ≈ 2 hrs.
This plate is intended for two-color printing and includes the hooks and the nameplates. No supports are needed for these parts. Double-click on the text to change it.
Plate #3: Wall Plates & Hook Pins
Print time: ≈1.8 hrs.
This plate includes the wall mounting plate and the hook pins. No supports are needed for these parts.
Plate #4: Blank Faceplates
Print time: ≈1.2 hrs.
This plate has optional faceplates for those who prefer to customize their own.
Removing The Supports
I’ve sought to keep the supports needed for this build to a minimum, but I did find them to be necessary for the main body of the leash station. I tried a few different orientations and found that keeping the rear of the body parallel to the build plate provided the best mix of material use and build time.
This meant that the supports, while largely hollow, do fill the majority of the station’s rear cavity. The best way to remove them is to pry them up using the horizontal divider inside the rear cavity. I do not recommend using the perimeter wall to pry the supports up. The divider is a much sturdier option.
The supports should come up fairly cleanly. The interface layer is sometimes left behind, but it is fairly straightforward to remove if needed.
Please note that this build is intended to be used with a support filament for the interface layers. I did not test this build without the use of a filament support and cannot speak to how well that would work, or what changes should be made to the profile to accommodate its absence.
Assembly Instructions
- O-Ring Installation: Press the 36mm o-rings into the circular slotted tracks surrounding each of the magnet recesses. Please note that the curved pocket is designed to lock the o-ring in place and that the o-rings can be difficult to remove once seated. - Magnet Installation: Glue the 25mm magnets into the center recesses. The tolerances here are pretty tight, so be careful not to apply too much adhesive or it will push up past the edge of the magnet. You do have to use an adhesive though; because the o-rings create a small gap between the magnet and the mounting surface, a friction fit is not enough to prevent them hopping the gap to the door.
