Description

If you print TPU with a Bambu AMS setup, you often need to feed the filament directly into the print head. With an AMS Flipper, the AMS is tilted backwards during loading, which is very practical but can feel unstable depending on the setup.

To prevent the AMS from slipping or tilting towards the printer enclosure, I designed this simple mechanical stop.

Features:

- Prevents unwanted AMS movement while tilted - Designed for TPU loading situations - Compact and lightweight - Fast print with low material usage - No supports required - Easy integration into existing AMS Flipper setups The design was developed from a real everyday printing problem and improves stability during repeated TPU filament changes.

Guides and print profiles

Print profiles and steps

0.24mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill

High-Strength PLA Profile 0.2mm layer, 4 walls, 15% infill This PLA profile has been optimized for the FT175 AMS Safer functional parts as an alternative to the original PETG-HF configuration.

The original profile uses 2 walls and 15% infill. This PLA version increases the structural settings to 4 wall loops, 30% Gyroid infill, and 5 top and bottom shell layers to improve rigidity, load resistance, and overall durability.

A 0.20 mm layer height is used for consistent layer bonding and dimensional accuracy. PLA cooling has also been reduced compared with a normal cosmetic PLA profile to promote stronger interlayer adhesion.

Profile highlights:

- 0.20 mm layer height - 4 wall loops - 30% Gyroid infill - 5 top shell layers - 5 bottom shell layers - Strength-focused PLA cooling - Original model orientation retained - Tree supports retained where required - Auto brim enabled Designed for users who want to print this functional part in PLA while maintaining strength closer to the original PETG configuration.
