Filament Spool Silica Container – Hex Airflow

Reusable silica gel container designed to fit inside the center of filament spools. It helps keep filament dry during storage by holding reusable silica gel beads inside a ventilated container with a hex airflow pattern.

This container fits directly into the center hole of standard filament spools, providing an easy way to add desiccant close to the filament.

The screw lid allows quick opening and easy refilling with reusable silica gel beads.

Hex Airflow Design

The hex ventilation pattern ensures excellent airflow while keeping silica gel safely inside.

Silica Gel Size

The hex ventilation openings are 2 mm wide , so the container is designed for standard silica gel beads (2–4 mm) . Very fine desiccant materials such as silica powder or sand are not recommended , as they may leak through the openings.

Tested with common reusable silica gel beads used for filament storage.

All versions share the same 50 mm diameter with different heights.

1. Fill the container with silica gel beads. 2. Screw the lid closed. 3. Insert the container into the filament spool center. 4. Store filament in a sealed box or dry environment.
