Description

My dad bought a Funsicle pool. Funsicle is made by Polygroup. Polygroup is, at its core, one of the largest artificial Christmas tree manufacturers on the planet. The included skimmer reflects this heritage faithfully.

This adapter mounts through the Funsicle pool wall from the inside. The dome seats against the liner, the knurled collar locks it in place, and the hose barb on the other side connects to a real skimmer. The underwater photos are not a flex. They are proof of concept. It doesn't leak. His pool now has actual surface skimming.

Why PP? Polypropylene is chemically inert to chlorinated water and pool chemicals, doesn't embrittle under UV the way PLA does, and won't dissolve quietly over a summer. It's the correct material. Full stop.

PP printing is a blood sport. Bed adhesion is genuinely hard, warping is real, and your first few attempts may go directly into the bin. I suggest PP. I will not be held responsible for your calluses. If you absolutely can't make PP work, ASA or PETG with a rubber gasket seal is an acceptable compromise. PLA in a chlorinated environment is not.

Note on files: 3MF for Bambu is the published profile. Snapmaker U1 3MF is in the additional files, where it belongs.

Guides and print profiles

Print profiles and steps

0.16mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill 0.16mm layers on PP with a 20mm no-gap brim. The dome geometry overhangs gradually enough that it prints clean without supports, but PP will still try to peel at the base if you give it the opportunity. Don't give it the opportunity.

Bed adhesive: Magigoo PP. The brim is wide and gapless. Peel after full cool-down, not before.
