5 inch sanding disc storage with Vevor Sander dock

Keep your sanding supplies organized and your sander off the workbench with this compact, wall-mounted sanding station.

I designed this system to store up to six stacks of 5-inch sanding discs while also providing a dedicated dock for my 5-inch Vevor random-orbit sander . Each disc holder rotates independently on an 8 mm steel rod, allowing you to swing out only the grit you need and fold everything back against the cabinet when finished.

The organizer is modular, so you can print as many disc holders as your setup requires. I printed mine in alternating black and yellow PETG and mounted the completed assembly to a wooden carrier board before attaching it to the side of my shop cabinet.

- One 8 mm steel rod - Four screws per rod support bracket - Three screws for the sander dock - Optional wooden carrier board and cabinet-mounting screws I purchased a 400 mm-long rod and removed approximately one inch so six holders would fit cleanly between the two support brackets. Measure your printed assembly before cutting the rod, since final dimensions may vary slightly depending on your printer and settings.

Printing Notes

I printed all parts in PETG for added durability. The sanding-disc holders and sander dock do not require supports. The rod support brackets need a small amount of support around the recessed mounting-hole areas.

The sander dock was modeled specifically for my Vevor 5-inch random-orbit sander, so fitment with other brands or models is not guaranteed. The disc-storage portion can still be used independently with any workshop setup.

This project turned a narrow section of unused cabinet space into a complete sanding station and eliminated the need to search through boxes whenever I need a different grit.
