Description

Magnetic Router Table Dust Collection Hood – HT40 & HT50

A compact magnetic dust collection hood for router tables , especially useful when the router table fence – and therefore its dust extraction – cannot be used, for example when edge routing, flush trimming or template routing . The open design gives you plenty of freedom to guide the workpiece around the router bit.

The hood is held in place by 7 magnets and can be installed, repositioned or removed within seconds – without screws or tools.

Two versions are included:

- 🟢 HT50 version – for 50 mm HT pipe connections - ⚫ HT40 version – for 40 mm HT pipe connections

🧲 Magnetic Mounting

This model requires a magnetic/ferromagnetic router table plate or surface , such as steel or cast iron. It will not work on aluminium or other non-magnetic materials. If you are unsure, simply check your router plate with a magnet before printing.

The hood requires 7 × 8 × 2 mm neodymium magnets , which are inserted into the recesses on the underside and secured with a small drop of super glue (CA glue) .

📐 Dimensions

Approximate dimensions:

115 × 58 mm (L × W)

The hood provides approximately 45 mm of vertical clearance , measured from the router table plate to the underside of the hood . This is the available working and dust collection area around the router bit.

For reference: The router table insert rings shown in the pictures have openings of Ø32 mm and Ø68 mm .

🖨️ Printing

Both versions have been successfully test printed in PLA and PLA Matte . PETG can also be used for additional toughness and temperature resistance.

The model can be printed in the orientation provided in the included print profile. The tested orientation and required supports are already prepared there.

🔧 Installation

- Print the appropriate HT40 or HT50 version using the provided print profile. - Insert seven 8 × 2 mm neodymium magnets into the recesses on the underside. - Secure each magnet with a small drop of super glue (CA glue) . - Connect the corresponding HT pipe and dust extraction hose. - Position the hood around the router bit on your magnetic router plate – done! Thanks to the magnetic mounting, the hood can easily be repositioned or completely removed whenever more access to the router bit is required.

⚠️ Safety

- Always switch off and unplug the router before installing, removing or adjusting the dust collection hood. - Before switching the router on, always make sure there is sufficient clearance between the router bit and the hood throughout the required working area. - The hood is intended to assist with dust and chip collection and does not replace appropriate personal protective equipment . - Always wear suitable safety glasses / eye protection when operating a router , even when dust extraction is connected.

🇩🇪 Deutsche Beschreibung
