A miniature print-in-place flexi dog — a floppy-eared retriever-style puppy lying down with its front paws stretched out, that comes off the plate already moving. Segmented hinge bands between the chest and the hindquarters let the torso bend, twist and wiggle from side to side, while the head, legs and curled-up tail stay fixed to their own segments. It is genuinely small: about 39 × 25 × 17 mm, so three of them sit comfortably across an adult palm, and a plate of them prints without a single support.
Features
- Print-in-place articulation — the joints are built into the model, so it flexes straight off the build plate with no assembly - Segmented body bands across the back that bend, twist and wiggle like a real pup stretching - Rounded, stylised puppy shape with floppy ears, a snub muzzle and an upright curled tail - Multi-color paint on the mesh: contrasting tan ears and muzzle, black eyes and nose - Prints in a single color just as well if you don't have an AMS — the shape reads clearly without the color split - No supports anywhere on the model - Tiny footprint at 39 mm long, which makes it fast to fill a plate with a whole litter - The bundled 3MF is arranged with 44 copies across 2 plates for batch printing Included Files
- Flexi Dog.3mf — the prepared Bambu Studio print profile: 0.20 mm layer height, PLA, no supports, three filament slots painted for the body, ears/muzzle and eyes/nose, laid out across two plates. - Flexi Dog.stl — the complete puppy as a single mesh (24.9 × 39.0 × 17.4 mm as exported), print-in-place with all joints included. Import this one if you want to arrange, scale or recolor it yourself. Printing Information
- Layer height: 0.20 mm (0.20mm Standard @BBL X1C), 0.20 mm first layer - Material: PLA, 220 °C nozzle / 55 °C bed - Supports: none — supports are switched off in the profile and the model does not need them - Colors: the supplied profile uses 3 filament slots (two shades of brown plus black), so an AMS or manual filament swaps are needed to print it exactly as shown. A single-color print of the same STL works fine. - Plates: 2 plates, 44 copies in total — plate 1 carries 43 copies for batch printing, plate 2 carries a single copy if you just want one - Printer: profile is set up for the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon with a 0.4 mm nozzle, and is also marked compatible with the X1, X1E and P1S at 0.4 mm - Walls / infill: 2 wall loops, 15% grid infill, 5 top and 3 bottom layers - Bed: Textured PEI Plate, auto brim (5 mm), printing by layer with a prime tower for the color changes - Size: the model measures about 39 × 25 × 17 mm - Assembly: none — it comes out as one piece - Print time and filament use are not listed here because the 3MF is not pre-sliced; MakerWorld calculates them when you slice. Usage
- Desk toy that you can bend and straighten while you think - Small fidget for pockets, bags and school desks - Quick gift, party favor or stocking stuffer — a plate of 43 makes a lot of little dogs in one go - Shelf display, either as a single pup or as a small pack in different filament colors - Handy classroom or open-day demo of how print-in-place joints work at a very small scale Tips
- If you only want a couple, delete the extra instances on plate 1 rather than slicing all 43. - Give the joints a gentle first flex once the print has cooled to free them up. - At this size the concentric layer lines on the top surfaces are clearly visible — they read as a soft texture on the back and head rather than a flaw. - The auto brim helps the small paw and ear contact points stay put; leave it on unless you have a reason not to.

Print profiles and steps
0.20mm – 3 Colors – AMS – No Supports – Print in Place Bambu Studio profile tuned for a fast, support-free batch of tiny print-in-place puppies.
- Layer height: 0.20 mm throughout, including the first layer (0.20mm Standard @BBL X1C) - Walls / shells: 2 wall loops, 5 top layers, 3 bottom layers - Infill: 15% grid - Supports: disabled — the model does not need them - Material: PLA at 220 °C nozzle, 55 °C bed - Colors: 3 filament slots — slot 1 brown (#996633) body, slot 2 darker brown (#45301A) ears and muzzle, slot 3 black (#000000) eyes and nose. More than one slot is used, so an AMS or manual swaps are needed for the profile as supplied; the same STL prints fine in a single color. - Prime tower: enabled for the color changes; no ironing; printing by layer - Plates: 2 — plate 1 holds 43 copies for batch printing, plate 2 holds a single copy for a one-off print - Bed / adhesion: Textured PEI Plate with auto brim (5 mm width), which helps the small paw and ear contact patches - Printer: Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, 0.4 mm nozzle; also marked compatible with X1, X1E and P1S at 0.4 mm - Model size: roughly 39 × 25 × 17 mm per copy - Assembly: none — the joints print in place - Not sliced — print time and filament use are calculated by MakerWorld.
