Description

Put your mini tool box on wheels, and lock it on. On the US General and Kobalt drawer boxes the cart grips the box's own folded bottom lip, so the box can't slide off or lift off. You can pick up the whole cart by the box.

Most rolling bases for mini tool boxes just sit under the box. This one has a hook wall along the back and two sliding lock bolts at the front. The lock tabs sit under the cart, so nothing sticks out the front to get kicked or bumped open.

FITS • US General 2-drawer mini tool box (Harbor Freight): cart 275 x 149 mm, locks on • Kobalt 2-drawer mini tool box (Lowe's): cart 274 x 149 mm, locks on • Kobalt 3-drawer mini tool box (Lowe's): cart 281 x 156 mm, locks on • Kobalt mini cabinet (Lowe's): cart 301 x 172 mm. The cabinet has a flat bottom, so it sits inside a 12 mm lip with no lock. The lip stays low enough to clear the cabinet door.

FEATURES • Locks the box on. Back hooks plus two front bolts grip the box's bottom lip. No screws into the box, no glue, no drilling. • Nothing to bump open. Pull the tabs under the cart toward you to lock; a lip clicks up in front of the rail and holds each bolt shut. • Low profile. Puts the box only 44 mm (1.75 in) off the floor. The cart is the box's own footprint. • Casters stay inside the footprint. Each wheel swivels a full turn without passing the edge of the cart. • Captive nuts. Every nut drops into a printed hex pocket. One 2 mm hex key does the whole job. • No supports. Prints caster side down; the lock bolts print on the same plate. • Customizable. Pick your box, your casters and your printer. Too big for your bed? It splits in two and bolts back together.

PRINT PROFILES OR CUSTOMIZE? The print profiles are one-piece carts and need a bed at least as big as the cart (274 to 301 mm), such as the H2D. On an A1, A1 mini, P1S, X1C or P2S, use Customize: pick your printer and the cart splits into two halves that fit, each printed on its own plate. Two-piece print profiles are coming.

CUSTOMIZER SETTINGS • Box Type: US General 2-drawer, Kobalt 2-drawer, Kobalt 3-drawer or Kobalt mini cabinet. • Caster Type: Luomorgo 1 in, or Custom to enter your own caster's measurements. • Printer Bed: 256 x 256 (A1, P1S, X1C, P2S), 180 x 180 (A1 mini) or 350 x 320 (H2D). The cart splits in two when it doesn't fit. • Print Half: split carts only. Generate the left half, then the right half. • Fold Thickness Override (Advanced): leave at 0 unless your box's bottom lip measures differently from the preset.

CASTERS (4) The print profiles are built for this caster: Luomorgo 1 inch Swivel Caster Wheels, rubber, rectangle top plate (8-pack) https://www.amazon.com/Luomorgo-inch-Swivel-Caster-Wheels/dp/B07GLPJJ7D One 8-pack does two carts.

Have a different brand? The print profiles work if your caster matches every number below. Measure, don't trust the product page: makers change suppliers. • Top plate: 36 x 32 mm • Plate thickness: 1.5 mm • Hole spacing, center to center: 30 x 24 mm • Hole diameter: 4.0 mm (an M3 screw passes) • Height, top of plate to floor: 34 mm • Swivel reach (swivel center to farthest wheel edge): 25 mm or less • Wheel: 1 in (25 mm)

CASTER DOESN'T MATCH? Use Customize, pick Custom under Caster Type, and enter your measurements. Or message me with them and I'll add a print profile. A product link alone isn't enough: the same product page can ship different casters, so I need measurements from a caster in your hand.

How to measure your caster (metric calipers or a mm ruler): 1. Top plate: length and width of the flat mounting plate. 2. Plate thickness: measure at the edge, next to a hole. 3. Hole diameter: inside width of one mounting hole. 4. Hole spacing, both directions: measure from the outside edge of one hole to the outside edge of the next, then subtract one hole diameter. Do it along the long side and the short side. 5. Height: stand the caster on a table, wheel down. Measure from the table to the top of the plate. 6. Swivel reach: mark the center of the swivel (the middle of the plate). Swing the wheel around slowly and measure from that center to the farthest point the wheel reaches. 7. Wheel diameter , and whether it has a brake . If you message me, include the brand, the product link and a photo of the top plate next to a ruler.

HARDWARE • 16 x M3 x 10 mm button head screws • 16 x M3 nylon-insert lock nuts (nylock) • Split carts only: 3 x M3 x 25 mm button head screws and 3 x M3 nylocks Tool: 2 mm hex key.

PRINT SETTINGS • Cart: PLA, PETG or PETG-CF • Lock bolts: plain PLA or PETG. The release foot flexes about 2 mm; carbon-fiber filament is too brittle for that. • Supports: none • Walls: 3 • Infill: 15 to 20% • Layer height: 0.2 mm • Orientation: as supplied, caster side down. The bolts lie on their side in the frame window.

ASSEMBLY Full step-by-step guide with figures in the assembly guide PDF. About 15 minutes. 1. Casters. With the cart right side up, drop a nylock (nylon side up) into each hex pocket in a corner pad. Hold the caster under the corner with the 30 mm hole spacing running along the cart, push the M3 x 10 screws up into the nuts, and tighten. 2. Split carts only. Drop three nylocks into the slots on top of the right half's center brace. Push the halves together until both dimple keys seat, then fit the three M3 x 25 screws from the left half's window and tighten. 3. Lock bolts (box off). From the window behind the front rail, slide each bolt into its slot, tongue on top, until the lip clicks out at the front. Press the lip down and push the tab back to open it. 4. Box on. With both bolts open, set the box down about 4 mm toward the back, then slide it forward until it stops against the back hooks. Reach under and pull both tabs toward you until the lips click up in front of the rail. To take the box off: press each lip down, push its tab back, slide the box back about 4 mm, and lift. Kobalt mini cabinet: skip steps 3 and 4. Lower the cabinet straight down inside the lip.

GOOD TO KNOW • The casters have no brakes. On a sloped floor the cart can roll on its own. • Keep heavy tools in the bottom drawers and push the cart low, never by an open drawer or the lid. • The cabinet cart doesn't lock. Don't stack a loaded 3-drawer and 2-drawer on the cabinet and roll it.
