Description

Update 6/8/2025: fixing the label issue with the 3/16" bar

Thanks to David who brought to my attention my error on the 3/16 bar (originally labelled 3/8).  i have since fixed it in the profile.

Update1/31: added a new set of imperial setup bars with angles (1/8" thru 1/2", 1/16" difference in between, 22.5, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 degrees)

will try to add the metrics version with angles next time around.

Update: added a metrics set (3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 18 mm) as per requested

text added on only one side of the bar, and will need AMS to print with two colors. if you don't have an AMS, you can use the boolean function in bambu studio to remove the text part, and that will give you the text engraved onto the bars.

Summary

didn't really want the spend 50 bucks for the aluminum ones, so i decided to print my own that ultimately costed me 30 cents per bar. won't be as rigid as the aluminum ones for sure, but gets the job done with good enough accuracy.

i haven't finished printing all of them, but you got the gist. dimensions start with one eighth of an inch, with sixteenth inch increment, all the way to half an inch.

each bar is quarter inch thick, which is another reference point you can use in your shop.

20% infill should be fine. i used 60% hoping these things can have a bit more rigidity and last longer.

This is my original design back in 2020 ported over from Thingiverse as I recently jumped on the Bambu bandwagon https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4156257

Imperial with Angles This is a updated print profile for the imperial setup bards (1/8" thru 1/2", 1/16" difference in between)

fixed the issue with the 3/16 (originally labelled 3/8)

- no angle imperial set, basic dual color design - with angles, 22.5, 30, 40, 50…thru 80 degrees. dual color design.  there's no 90 degree because, if you have a workshop, you should have better means to measure a right angle other than those bars… - same as 1, but with indented text for those without an AMS - same as 2, but with indented text for those without an AMS
