Description

Rather than storing all your Guitar Hero and Rock Band guitars in a closet, why not turn them into a bit of rock and roll wall art. Here are a series of mountable guitar holders specifically designed to hold the Beatles Rock Band guitars. These are custom fit to hold Paul McCartney's Hofner bass, John Lennon's Rickenbacker, and George Harrison's Gretsch. Each one features their respective Beatles' signature on the bottom, while the neck holder displays a Beatles logo. Of course most importantly, the guitars can all be easily removed when it is time to play with them! I've also included a faux holder for Ringo Starr's Ludwig bass drum, as it is a just a thin piece of fabric I use clear clips to actually mount it onto the wall. You will notice that John and George's guitars are held in right handed positions, while Paul's bass is accurately held in a left handed position. All of them are held at 60 degree angles from horizontal if installed properly, I aligned my level to the Beatles logo on the neck holder while holding my guitars in place.

However, as you can see in the picture they can also hold a standard Guitar Hero controller and a Rock Band Fender Stratocaster. I would think its safe to assume that many other guitars can also be held in them. It's easy to remove the signatures and Beatles logos for generic guitars by simply printing everything in a single color. The graphics all print upside down on the plate, so it will look perfectly smooth if you remove them. Please note, that I have Nintendo Wii controllers and based the measurements off of them, while I assume that the PlayStation and Xbox controllers have the same dimensions I can't promise that. John and George's guitars have mounts and neck holders that are 50mm deep, Paul's mount is 60mm deep while his neck holder is 75mm deep. It's also worth noting that George's mount is perfectly round and the widest, so would probably make the best generic holder.

Since the mounts are holding somewhat heavy guitars, I put in holes for large picture hanging nails. Each piece requires two #12 x 2" nails, these are the nails that come with the large picture hanging hooks. I've also made the print incredibly dense so that it has plenty of strength, and made them solid around the holes for the nails. Hammering in the nails will be simple until you get to the end as they are all inset so they don't scratch the guitars, so you will need to use a nail set to get them all the way in. If you don't know what a nail set it is, its a long thin metal piece that you put one end on the nail and hit the other end with a hammer, they are typically used along with a nail gun when installing molding so that the nails are flush with the molding. You can easily pick one up at any hardware store for a few bucks. Ringo's faux holder I just put up with a command strip.

These are not licensed by The Beatles, Harmonix, Red Octane, or any other parties. I post them here freely for everyone to enjoy, while you can certainly print out copies for family and friends, please do not sell copies of them.
