Description

This is my model of the SSV Normandy SR1 from the Mass Effect series. The ship is done in scale with my SR2 . The pieces are divided per their color.

For the assembly, I recommend to watch the following video.

Guides and print profiles

Print profiles and steps

Full Color 0.2mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill I separated the model into plates, oriented, supported, and colorized. I'm currently printing and will upload a finished print soon.

Normandy SR1-100% Scale w/ 0.2mm layer, 2 walls, 15% infill This is a 100% Scale print profile of Martin.taichl's excellent design!

Plates have been set up by color, but can be spread out further if desired.

Painting was done to help minimize color changes, including some additional options for the nose and tail if desired. Nose and Tail options have been provided as follows: Option 1: Full Black and White Prints (Longest time, many filament changes required - AMS recommended) Option 2: All White Prints (Quicker prints, painting required) Option 3: Hybrid - Use full Black/White Tail, but for the nose the major black portion at the end of the nose has been split out to a separate plate to minimize filament changing/time. Due to the reduced depth of this section of the model these are thinner than the other inserts and may require some adhesive to stay in place beyond the built in tabs. Print exhibited in the photo's was using this option.

Additional notes: Stand is standard black as I liked the look better, but can be painted for multi-color if desired. I left the full model outside the plate area for quick reference as well! Hope you enjoy the model as much as I did!
