Description

Print instructions:

- PLA with 0.6mm (or 0.4mm) nozzle at 0.2mm layer height - 2 perimeters Body and head:

- No supports for the snake body (make sure the flat side is on the print bed) - Support for the end-links are already included in the model - paint on supports underneath the attachment pin for the snake head - print without solid top and bottom layer with honeycomb infill (20 - 40%, depending on desired size of the hexes) I chose 40% Note: if you choose a different layer height, make sure that the first and last layer do show a nice large hex pattern, without any lines crossing through! Print at actual print size. Smaller sizes will make the joints merge

Tiara: (3 perimeters)

Print without supports 0.2 or 0.3mm layer height. I did 0.2mm so that the eye is better visible. Print facing down.

Seams: make sure seams are not located close to the joints. I provided a complete printing plate with all the support enforcers (heads) and custom seams for your convenience.

Loosen articulated parts by rotating joints after printing. Joints should be freely movable, while also staying fairly stable in place after positioning. (The last head joint remains stiff, as desired for the head positioning)

Print the original modular diadem with PETG: https://www.printables.com/model/295659-modular-diadem-hairband

Feel free to add other head attachments!

You can print the head in two different versions “correct orientation” = bottom shows the hex pattern and “upside down” = top shows the hex pattern.

The Tiara can of course also be worn without the snakes or other attachments.

The snakes click on well and can be carefully turned at the base after inserting. For durable assembly, I recommend adding glue. To attach the heads I recommend twisting the head into the body.

A huge thanks to @eyalshtark_1523167 for using the brilliant idea of to print with honeycomb infill without printing solid top and bottom layers (easy setting in prusa slicer), the arms get the scales like look while also saving plastic and thus weight.

A thanks also goes to @StevenTh for the great modular diadem + Tiara!
