FlashForge Adventurer 5M Friction-less Side-Spool Holder (No Hardware)

Hello,

This model reduces the friction which filament spools see when using just normal print-in-place spool holders for the 5M. Those spool holders don't allow for spinning with the spool and eventually get scratched by the spool's casings. The photos I've attached show the scratching caused by friction, which will eventually lead to the filament feeder mechanism to fail prematurely.

- There are (2) 608 bearings, scaled down Z-Axis 20%, which are included in this post.

- I have also shortened the original spool holder and base by 20% to make for a smaller footprint on the 5M. The new spool holder is only 70mm wide which should be more than enough to hold 99% of 1kg spools on the market. PRINT SETTINGS:

Filament: PLA

Layer Height: 0.28mm 0.08mm (Bearings)

NOTE:

- While the bearings can be printed at 0.28mm, I do advise printing at the finest your nozzle will let you print for the smoothest rolling resistance possible, which for many is 0.08mm.

- As well, though the bearings will work just fine without any lubrication, I do advise the use of bearing grease like White Lithium Grease. This will help the bearings roll smoother and with less friction. Thank you for checking out my post. I hope you like my creation.
