Description

Two small printable models to convert the Y-Axis rods to MGN9 Linear Rails on Monoprice Select Mini 3D Printers; especially helpful if your y-axis linear rods are worn out. This design was inspired by Paroni's Monoprice Select Mini V2 Y-Axis Linear Rail Mount . The two provided models are oriented to be printed without support. High % infill recommended.

Materials besides the printable parts:

- MGN9 200mm Linear Guide Rails x2 - M4x10x6 Brass heat-set inserts x12 - M3x12 Button Head Screws x 8 - M4 Screws (already supplied with original printer) x12 - Bearing Lubricant - Multi-head screwdriver kit - Rotary tool / Dremel tool or metal saw Assembly:

- Print two of the Base Block MGN9 Adapters and four of the MGN9 Linear Rail Brackets - Install the heat-set inserts into the base blocks and brackets with a soldering iron. - Screw in the MGN9 bearings to the base blocks with M3x12mm screws. - Attach the base blocks to the base of your Monoprice Select Mini 3D Printer with M4 screws. - Cut the 200mm Linear Rails with a saw or rotary tool to match the length of the original y-axis rods. - Lubricate and slide the cut MGN9 linear rails onto the linear rail bearings. - Slide the MGN9 linear rail brackets onto each end of the linear rails. - Route the y-axis motor belt on the y-axis pulleys and set the bed base on top of the linear rails. - Screw down the bed base into the linear rail brackets with M4 screws.
