Manufacturing settings

The RS Ranger is designed to be printed in PLA or PLA+. Around 1 roll of filament is typically enough to produce the full boat including hull, keel, bulb, rudder, and rig parts.

The model has been designed so that no part exceeds approximately 200mm on any axis, making it suitable for most home 3D printers. All parts are ready to print directly from the STL files with no additional modelling required.

No supports are needed. Any required support structures are built directly into the parts.

Example settings used on a Creality K1 Max:

Nozzle: 0.4mm Wall count: 2 Top layers: 4 Bottom layers: 4 Brim for hull parts for adhesion Nozzle temp: 220°C Bed temp: 65°C Chamber: 25–30°C 100% infill at ~200mm/s print speed

If you want a dependable, easy-to-build RC sailboat that looks great and sails smoothly, the RS Ranger is a solid choice.
