Functional Post Cap & Weather Shield for Gate Safety Sensors

A practical top cap / lid specifically designed for rectangular steel profiles ( 60x40 mm rectangular steel profiles with a 1.8–2.0 mm wall thickness ) used as posts for automatic gate safety sensors (photocells, presence detectors, or smart home sensors).

The sloped pyramid design acts as a weather shield, preventing rain, snow, and debris from pooling on top of the post and running down into the sensor's enclosure. It provides a clean, professional, and flush finish to your automated gate installation while protecting the internal electronics.

Print Settings:

- Material :** ASA or PETG are highly recommended for outdoor usage due to UV and weather resistance. PLA is fine for indoor or temporary testing.

- Infill: 15-20% (Gyroid or Grid)

- Supports: Support on build plate only.

- Important for ABS/ASA: If you print with ABS/ASA, an enclosure is required to prevent warping. Due to material shrinkage, it is recommended to scale the model to 101% in your slicer to ensure a perfect, snug fit onto the steel profile.
