Description

Finally got around to removing the front sprocket cover to clean the front sprocket, only to find out that the front sprocket was clean, somehow. Not so much so the area around it, however, due to me using gear oil instead of wax which created a mess.

I have decided to scan the front cover so that something useful comes out of this endeavour.

The model was scanned in 0.25mm resolution, using the crossed laser line mode on my Metro X scanner.

The model was cleaned up, reduced and rendered in Blender. If the scaling is off, please multiply by a factor of 10X until the model is the right size due to unit conversion issues.

The threaded portions on the inside are M6 Coarse thread to my knowledge, which I modelled. This portion does not seem to interface with anything on the bike
