E-Steps Calibration Helper-Tool

This is a small tool to help set the filament feed or also called E-Steps on a direct extruder.

Yes, you can cut the filament to length with other tools, but I like it more elaborate. And the filament is straightened in the process, which allows for more accurate measurement!

It cuts the filament 1.75mm to the exact length of 120mm from the extruder entrance. See picture below.

The length of the groove is equal to the 120mm. The small insertion serves to measure the remaining piece, inserted in the hole, relatively straight with the caliper. The procedure how to enter a defined filament feed of 100mm with Pronterface or octoprint via Gcode and the calculation method can be watched on the internet or on Youtube.

Both parts are printed upright on the print bed. So you don't need any supports and the holes will be nice and round.
