Description

I had an old webcam lying around and I wanted to use OctoPrint to monitor my builds. The goal was to hook the camera to the top front bar/rail to monitor the current layer, but straight mounting it was too loose and I couldn't keep it in one place.

Mine was Microsoft's Lifecam HD-5000 but I see no reason on why HD-3000 wouldn't work as well.

Credit:

Designed this using tinkercad by using the clips that I took from @kilroy01 on thingiverse, so it might be a bit rough (it's my second attempt of designing stuff).

Printing:

no supports, 10-20% infill, PLA, no brim, 0.2 height and 3 walls

Mounting:

The clips are too weak for clip in place, I recommend disassembling the rail you want to place it on and sliding it in place and then putting the camera. I used a wedge for secure fit because I placed the camera upside down.
