Heat Set Insert Press Tool With Quick Release Clamp

After an extensive search for a suitable heat set insert tool online, I was unable to find one that met my requirements. Inspired by various sources, I decided to design my own tool, utilizing 3D printed components and readily available generic hardware.

This tool enables the use of a standard soldering iron, readily obtainable from online marketplaces such as Amazon, to seamlessly and precisely install threaded inserts into your 3D printed parts. Featuring a bespoke 3D printed quick-release clamp for the soldering iron, storage for soldering iron tips, and a specialized 3D printed stop for consistent depth.

I Used Lead To Fill The Counterweight, But Use Anything That Works For You.

"Handle Shroud" 3D Printed Part Is Not Required But Adds Aesthetics And Is Glued Under The “Top Handle”

All Nuts And Bolts Should Mount Flush. If They Don't, You Are Using The Wrong Screw Length.
