Description

I don't submit a lot for contests, but I really like the look of the Qube 500 - customization is always a plus - and this is the first thing that came to my mind! I took some quite nice looking devil horns from @Preischl3D and basically just slapped on the smallest sample holder provided by Cooler Master. Haven't done anything fancy here, just a couple of tweaks to make it slightly more printable.

NB: I don't have a Qube 500 (in fact, as far as I can tell, you can't buy it anywhere yet at time of uploading) so I haven't been able to test the fit or anything like that. However it should fit, given that the part that connects to the case is direct from Cooler Master.

Since I haven't been able to test it, I kept tolerances quite high, so the horns will stick out about 5mm from the case's sides. I don't really intend to buy a new PC case anytime soon, so if you print this for your Qube, let me know how it fits and if we can lower the tolerances a bit!

NB #2: The only place the current version of the horns can go (and look correct) is on that rail in the back, it looks like. Not where I'd have instinctively put them, but the left side of the case doesn't have any holes. If this model is well liked, I'll probably work on a version that mounts on the top that'll look good.

Printing Instructions

- You will certainly want to print with supports, but you should only need it for the hook part if your printer is well tuned. The angle on the horns should be printable without supports. - You may or may not want to print with a brim, depending on how good your bed adhesion is. I'd personally feel comfortable without one, but you know your printer, I don't. - Low layer height will make the organic curves of the horns look more natural - SLA: This will print quite well in SLA. There's 2 slight islands on the mounting bracket you'll want small supports for, but the visuals of it (i.e.: the horns) can print without supports and will look great! Should print even on a pretty small bed. (Lychee says one horn will fit my Mars 3 non-pro without issue) - It should go without saying, but don't blindly scale the model, as that'll scale the mounts.

I haven't printed this one myself yet, so let me know if you're running into print issues!
