Description

Introduction

This is a mold that allows you to make up to eight silicone feet at a time. The feet attach with M3 machine screws, preferably 8mm in length and with a countersunk head. I usually have a little bit of extra silicone left over after pouring something, and I like to pour it in here so it's not wasted. You can use these feet and the included hole for whatever you want, these files are public domain.

Shopping List

- Silicone - Silicone Pigment - Mold Release - Mixing Cups - X-Acto Knife - M3 Screws (8mm countersunk works best) - Sandpaper (300 grit or higher) Printing Instructions

Print the mold and the scraper. .2mm resolution is fine, but it doesn't hurt to go lower. The layer lines will be visible in the finished feet.

Once the mold is done, run the surface with the holes across fine-grit sandpaper in a circular motion until it's smooth all across. This will make it easier to scrape away the excess later.

Pouring Instructions

- Make sure the mold and scraper are both clean and dry. Spray them down with plenty of mold release. - Mix silicone according to the manufacturer's instructions. Add pigment, if using. - Pour all the silicone into a few of the holes until they overflow. Scrape the excess silicone across the surface to fill the other holes. Try to scrape the excess into one hole at a time, so you don't end up with multiple half-filled. I need 1.1g of silicone per foot. YMMV based on silicone density and printer tolerances. - Let it cure for at least 24h before prying out of the mold. Clean up with the X-Acto knife if necessary, although it shouldn't be necessary if you sand and scrape properly. Other Stuff

You're advised to wear gloves and goggles when you're working with silicone.
