DIY Craft Ornament

Warning! This is a crafts project! You will need glue, acetate (or some transparent plastic) and whatever your heart desires (glitter, color paper, fake snow, etc).

Steps:

- Step 1: Glue an Acetate (any clear plastic) to both sides. Or a colored paper to the back side, your choice - Step 2 (optional): Add the spacer into the back side and the desired “filling” - Step 3: Close it :) ( It should be a snug fit, but add some glue in case you want to make sure it will never open again) The “spacer” is not technically necessary, but might be useful to avoid losing things being hidden by the ornament shell.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can customize the project to have whatever you want written in there.

How to customize:

- Open the .scad file in OpenSCAD . - Change the name/word. You will see the letters are mirrored because the front is at the bottom. - Change the font - I suggest upper case letters to have it connected by the top - In SCAD, select Help > Font List - Select the font you want and hit “copy to clipboard” - Paste in the “fontname” field - Select the font size and angle between letters until you are satisfied with the results.
