Description

Adapter to mount an ADXL345 on top of the 100's toolhead.

Uses existing holes atop the hotend shroud. Designed for this (very common) version of the ADXL345

(The wires it comes with aren't long enough to reach the Banana Pi, so you'll need longer ones!)

You only need one of them, since The 100 is a Corexy. If you're willing to wait for shipping, you'll find it much cheaper from Aliexpress.

Making it:

4x M3 screws (2 go into heatset inserts in toolhead, 2 connect board to adapter)

2x M3 nuts (connect board to adapter)

Fairly easy to remove with a screwdriver, but I just leave it on. Doesn't affect printing in any way with it unplugged

Print settings don't really matter lol

Config:

printer.cfg:

[include adxl_direct.cfg] ^ If you want to unplug the cable after running the input shaper, put a hashtag (#) at the start of the line. That way, Klipper doesn't try to connect to the board and fail the compile

File Name: ADXL_Direct

[mcu rpi] serial: /tmp/klipper_host_mcu

[adxl345] cs_pin: rpi:None spi_bus: spidev0.0

[resonance_tester] accel_chip: adxl345 probe_points: 82.5, 82.5, 20 # an example

[gcode_macro Calibrate_Shaper] gcode: {% if "xyz" not in printer.toolhead.homed_axes %} G28 {% endif %} SHAPER_CALIBRATE You have to actually enable SPI communications and set up the Banana Pi as a secondary MCU (that basically means that klipper can control the IO pins) or you won't be able to compile this.

Setup is almost identical to the regular guides on klipper's docs. The Banana Pi's pins are identical to the RPI's, so follow this wiring diagram:

You'll have to enable SPI communication in the Armbian config. If you have trouble connecting to the accelerometer, I suggest you join the The100 Discord for help!
