Description

A BTT Pad7 accelerometer mount for a Delta E3D V6 effector. I am using a simple effector on my Delta printer with 40mm spacing between the delta-arms. I switched to Klipper and am using the BigTree Tech Pad7 , which comes with their own version of the ADXL345 accelerometer; this effector clamp allows mounting and removal of the BTT accelerometer after you complete the resonance testing.

The mount uses two 4 x 4mm M3 brass heat inserts, and two M3 x 8 screws.

My Delta printer is a custom build, which started as a FolgerTech Delta; I am running Klipper on a BTT SKR 1.4 using the Pad7. If you have any questions on switching from Marlin 2.0 to Klipper on a Delta, let me know. And YES, Klipper is much better.

The printer originally had an Arduino 2560/Ramps 1.4 board and printed very well. I upgraded to a 32-bit board and Marlin 2.0, and could not get the bed properly leveled (I was considering going back to the 2560/Ramps 1.4 boards). After reading all the hype on Klipper, I thought I'd give it a try and bought a Raspberry Pi5; I figured I could switch back to Marlin if it didn't work out.

Holy Cow….. Klipper makes Delta Calibration and bed leveling (mesh) so much easier. And I don't miss Marlin's method of making changes which requires re-flashing the board each time. With Klipper, you make the change, re-boot the firmware from your computer, and done. No micro-SD cards needed.

If you like my designs and want to send me a tip, you can do so via PayPal ….. Thank you and enjoy the models I create.
