Voron V0 / V0.1 / V0.2 / R1 Kirigami Bed Brace + Fan

After running the LDO Kirigami Bed Kit and loving it for over a year I found only one issue I was not quite happy with… The Rigidity!

While it's a good setup it has an unusual amount of movement at the front. This mostly affects bed levelling as any force will cause it to move, but also on fast Y travel moves I have observed the bed to bounce slightly.

Wanting to do something about this I noticed that a Steel version of the Kirigami Bed was available and boasted greater stiffness.

After pondering about the purchase of one I wondered if I could 3D print a brace to help stiffen the Kirigami.

This is my attempt at doing just that.

As I had the LDO kit version I wanted to incorporate the two Wago terminals and the Temp Sensor PCB into the brace to make it a single fitment item.

I also didn't want to add too much bulk so after playing with some initial ideas I found something that looks to fit the bill while also keeping a low profile.

Utilising the four inner holes for the length and two of the fixing holes for the Nut Block this should give it a firm hold of the Kirigami and stop it from flexing in the rear corners.

It is designed to work with the original Nut Block but this may change depending on fitment etc…

ADDED BRACES FOR PEOPLE RUNNING THE LDO BED (as these needed room for the temp sensor)

Extra fittings you will need…

2 off M3 x 10 SHCS (for fixing to the Nut Block)

4 off M3 x 6 SHCS (for fixing the Kirigami down the long sides)

for mounting the fans…

2 - 4 off M3 x 14 BHCS

2 -4 off Threaded inserts

A choice of either; 2510 or 3010 fan

(make sure you print the corresponding brace for your chosen fan size)

The model has been laid on a V0 bed so simply download, slice and print!
