Description

Loading the org. Prusa buffer for MMU3 is sometimes a mess. The cassette technique is great, but when you have easy access from all sides then the loading fork of @saphir is a great tool, link see below.

What I noticed is that the original plate holderhas reinforcements at the both ends, e.g. slots 1 and 5. There the fork has an excellent backup to push the fork towards the buffer wheels. Unfortunately this force is gone when using slots 2 through 4, as there is a piece of material missing. By reengineering the plate holder (quite simple part) I achieved a strong backup on all slots 1 through 5 (mind the mark-ups in the photographs).

Additionally I integrated some numbers (1-5) on the plate holder, so it is easy to identify the correct slot. To get those nicely readable I needed to make a top and a bottom part.

In the files sectionyou'll find a more simple part, in one color, no numbers, this can just substitute the bottom plate holder. But if you have an MMU, why not using the numbers?

This works fine.

Designed in TinkerCad (from scratch) and printed on MK4 with MMU with Prusament PETG Black and BasicFil Orange PETG.
