Polyzon search on your website

For 3D printing studios and shops: visitors find a model right on your site, and you get what they want printed.

Try it

Switch the theme, colour and button — your widget is set up the same way. Open a model and press the button: what your site receives appears alongside.

How to connect

  1. Create a widget and add your site’s domain — it won’t open on other sites.
  2. Set up the look and the search in your cabinet: theme, colours, font, button. The preview updates instantly, and once you save, the site picks the changes up by itself — no need to touch the code on the page.
  3. Paste the code into your page. Your site gets the model someone wants printed: in an onOrder handler or as a link to your order page.

Code for your site

HTML
<div id="polyzon-widget"></div>
<script src="https://polyzon.org/widget/v1.js" integrity="sha384-kCIxhgL0RK6xXdqHfKL2YeR63MyVpmgPD7/BVroRann3f0g9gbpXl5Je0TD/VSwZ" crossorigin="anonymous" async></script>
<script>
  (window.PolyzonWidgets = window.PolyzonWidgets || []).push({
    id: 'YOUR_WIDGET_ID',
    element: 'polyzon-widget',
    onOrder: function (model) {
      // model.title, model.sourceUrl, model.polyzonUrl, model.image …
    }
  });
</script>

Options

Theme, colours and the button label are not set in the code: they live in the widget settings in your cabinet.

id
The widget id from your cabinet.
element
The id of the element (or the element itself) to put the widget in.
height
Height in pixels. Without it the widget fits its content.
lang
ru or en. Defaults to the page language (the lang attribute).
title
The frame’s title for screen readers.
onReady
The widget has loaded.
onSelect
A visitor opened a model; its data is the argument.
onOrder
A visitor pressed “Order a print”. With a handler the widget goes nowhere — show your own order form.

Model data

sourceUrl is the model’s page on its platform: that’s where the studio downloads the file. polyzonUrl can be empty when the model has no page on Polyzon.

onOrder(model)
{
  "widgetId": "YOUR_WIDGET_ID",
  "query": "organizer",
  "source": "printables",
  "sourceName": "Printables",

Order page on your site

The “Order a print” button can lead to the order page on your site — no developer needed. Put that page’s address in the widget settings (Button → Order page) and add tags in curly braces. When a visitor presses the button, the widget puts the chosen model’s data in place of the tags, so you see exactly what they want printed. The page must be on one of the widget’s domains.

{polyzon_url}
link to the model on Polyzon
{source_url}
link to the model at the author’s: the print file is downloaded from there
{title}
model title
{source}
platform, e.g. printables
{id}
model number on the platform
{image}
link to the model picture

Say the settings hold the address below. A visitor picks the organizer and presses the button — they land on your page with the model link and title in the address:

Address in the settings
https://studio.example/order?model={source_url}&title={title}
Where the visitor lands
https://studio.example/order?model=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.printables.com%2Fmodel%2F123456-desk-organizer&title=Desk%20organizer

Without JavaScript

If you can’t add scripts, use the frame: fixed height and no events for your site, but the order link works.

HTML
<iframe src="https://polyzon.org/widget/YOUR_WIDGET_ID" width="100%" height="640" style="border:0" loading="lazy"
  title="Polyzon" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin"
  sandbox="allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox allow-top-navigation-by-user-activation"></iframe>

If your site has a strict CSP

Allow the script and the frame from polyzon.org:

Safety and limits

  • The widget is a separate frame: it can’t see your page, cookies or forms.
  • No cookies, ads or visit counters: it doesn’t belong in your cookie banner.
  • Works only on your domains: browsers won’t show it on anyone else’s site.
  • Up to 2000 searches a day per widget.
  • The loader is included with integrity: if the file ever changes, the browser won’t run it.

Rules

  • The widget shows Polyzon search as is: don’t hide the “Powered by” line with the Polyzon logo or pass the models off as yours.
  • Don’t use the widget to scrape the catalogue or put it on sites with illegal content.
  • Models belong to their authors: check the licence before printing to order.
  • Polyzon may limit or disable a widget if the rules are broken or under heavy load.
  • Your site collects visitors’ contact details: Polyzon neither receives nor passes them on.
