M4 Bolt and Stud 3D Models to Print in STL

This collection gathers STL files for M4 bolts, threaded studs, nuts, washers and knobs. You will also find test plates and small boxes for keeping fasteners in order. It is useful when a project needs a printed fastener or a matching handle for an M4 thread. Polyzon does not confirm whether models are free, their price, license, official status, affiliation, safety or fitness. Check the current terms at the source.

«M4 Bolt and Stud 3D Models to Print in STL»

The models fall into a few groups: knobs, thumb wheels and hand grips that screw onto an M4 thread; threaded studs and short bolt sets; nuts, washers and other matching hardware; and utility pieces such as thread test plates and small storage boxes. They differ mainly in how the thread is made — a modelled metric thread, a smooth bore for a metal insert, or a hex or socket head for a tool. Some are single parts, others come as a set with several lengths.

Before printing, read the author's page for thread pitch, length and head type, because an M4 thread has a fixed pitch and a resized model will not match a metal nut. Check how the part is oriented, whether the overhangs need supports, and which material and layer height the author used. Photos of real prints show how the thread and the fit turned out better than a render does.

To widen the search, try the words people use for the same part: screw, stud, threaded rod, grub screw, nut, washer, knob, hand grip, thumb wheel, hex head or socket head. Adding a size to the query, such as M3, M5 or M6, or a length, brings up neighbouring results. Related topics include metric fasteners, printer hardware, model-making parts and furniture fittings.

FAQ

Preguntas frecuentes

Do 3D-printed M4 threads fit standard metal nuts?
It depends on the printer's calibration and the clearance the author built into the model. A thread test plate or a single nut print is a quick way to see how your setup performs before printing a larger part.
Which way should an M4 bolt be oriented on the build plate?
Authors usually state a preferred orientation, often standing the stud upright or laying it flat along the thread. Upright printing keeps the thread round but needs supports under overhangs, while flat printing is simpler but can flatten one side.
Can I scale an M4 model to M5 or M6?
Scaling changes the thread pitch along with the diameter, so a scaled M4 will no longer match an M4 nut or a tapped hole. Look for a model made for that size instead.
What should I check on the model page before printing?
Look at the stated dimensions, the number of parts, whether supports are needed, and the material and settings the author lists. Photos of finished prints help you judge the thread and the fit.
