Orbital Sander Holders: 3D Models and STL Files

This collection gathers 3D models that hold, hang or feed an orbital sander: wall mounts, dust adapters, disc racks and simple carriers. The files are meant for 3D printing at home, so the same part can be adjusted to a different pad size or port. Browse it if you want your sander stored within reach and your discs and hose organized. Polyzon does not confirm whether models are free, their price, license, official status, affiliation, safety or fitness. Check the current terms at the source.

«Orbital Sander Holders: 3D Models and STL Files»

The models fall into a few groups. Wall mounts and hangers fix the tool to a panel or a rail, sometimes with a hook or a cradle that matches the shape of a specific sander body. Dust collection parts replace or extend the outlet so a shop vacuum hose connects to the sander. Disc and sandpaper holders are usually flat racks, trays or stackable organizers, and some are built to fit a grid-based storage system. Carriers and palm sander cradles sit between these groups: they hold the tool and a few sheets at once.

Before printing, open the author's page and read what they measured. The pad diameter in inches or millimetres decides whether a disc holder fits, and the port shape decides whether an adapter will slide on. Check the number of parts, whether they join with screws, magnets or glue, and whether the geometry needs supports. The material and layer settings the author lists matter for thin clips and snap fits, and photos of real prints show how the part sits on the tool.

If a search comes up short, try the wording used around the tool itself: random orbital sander, palm sander, eccentric sander, or the pad size such as 125 mm and 5 inch. Related terms help too — sanding disc storage, shop vacuum adapter, tool hanger, wall mount, Gridfinity bin. Changing one word often brings up a different set of models for the same machine.

FAQ

Preguntas frecuentes

How do I know a holder will fit my sander?
Compare the dimensions on the model page with your tool: pad diameter, body width and the shape of the dust port. Many holders are drawn for one body style, so a few millimetres of difference can matter.
Do these parts need supports when printed?
It depends on the geometry. Hooks, overhangs and hollow ports often need them, while flat racks and trays usually print without. The author's page normally states what they used.
Which material works for a wall mount or adapter?
Rigid filaments are common for brackets and adapters, since they hold shape under the weight of the tool. Flexible filament appears mostly in parts that grip or seal, such as hose connections.
Can I scale a disc holder to another pad size?
Uniform scaling changes wall thickness and fit at the same time, so it is safer to look for a version drawn for your diameter. If you do scale, check the port or clip dimensions again afterwards.
