K2 Exhaust STL Models: Ducts, Vents and Chutes

This collection gathers 3D printing add-ons that move air and waste away from the K2 series of printers: hose adapters, magnetic vent plates, fan ducts and chutes. Most parts are small enough to print in a single session, which makes them a practical first project for tuning an STL to your own setup. Polyzon does not confirm whether models are free, their price, license, official status, affiliation, safety or fitness. Check the current terms at the source.

«K2 Exhaust STL Models: Ducts, Vents and Chutes»

The parts fall into a few groups. Duct adapters take the printer outlet down to a round hose size, while manifolds split the flow in two or three directions or send it to a window. Magnetic vent plates and low-profile mounts hold a cover in place without tools, and fan ducts or reducers change the diameter between a fan and the opening. Waste chutes and bins handle purged material separately from the air path.

Before printing, measure the outlet and the hose you plan to attach, including wall thickness, since a few millimetres decide whether a part fits. Check how the model is held in place, whether magnet pockets are sized for the magnets you have, and how much clearance it needs behind the printer. Read the author's notes on material and settings: parts near a heated chamber are often printed in PETG or ABS rather than PLA, and overhangs may need supports. Photos of real prints show how the surfaces and joints came out.

If the results are thin, try other terms for the same idea: vent, duct, hose adapter, fume extraction, or waste chute and bin. Related searches such as enclosure venting, air filtration, carbon filter inserts, dryer hose adapters and magnetic mounts often surface parts that a single phrase misses. Combining a printer name with a diameter, like 4 inch or 100 mm, narrows the list further.

Check the model page for the version it was drawn for, since revisions of a printer can shift the position of an opening. Scaling a part changes both the fit and the wall thickness, so adjust only when the author says the geometry allows it. If a design is split into several pieces, plan the assembly order and the fasteners or magnets it expects before starting the print.

FAQ

Preguntas frecuentes

What is a K2 exhaust model used for?
It directs warm air, fumes and particles from the printer outlet into a hose, filter or window opening. Some designs also separate purged material into a chute or bin.
Which measurements matter when choosing a duct?
The shape and size of the printer outlet, the inner and outer diameter of your hose, and the clearance behind the machine. Magnet size matters for mounts that clip on without screws.
What material should I print these parts in?
It depends on how warm the area around the outlet gets. Many makers use PETG or ABS for parts close to the chamber and PLA for cooler, decorative covers; the author's notes usually state a preference.
Do these parts need supports?
Some ducts print without them because the geometry is shaped for bridging, while round adapters and overhanging lips often need them. The model page usually shows the orientation the author used.
