Skull Box STL Models for 3D Printing

This collection gathers skull-shaped boxes and containers shared as STL files for 3D printing, from simple lidded boxes to dice and card holders. The models differ in how they close, how many parts they use and how much detail sits on the surface. It is a useful starting point if you want a storage piece that also reads as a decorative object. Polyzon does not confirm whether models are free, their price, license, official status, affiliation, safety or fitness. Check the current terms at the source.

«Skull Box STL Models for 3D Printing»

The most common type is a box body with a separate lid, often with a skull carved or sculpted into the top or the sides. Dice and card boxes follow the same idea but are sized around a deck or a set of dice, sometimes with compartments inside. Hinged versions and print-in-place designs remove the loose lid entirely, so the parts move as one piece off the plate. Decorative containers, bowls and jar-like shapes drop the lid and work as open holders instead.

Before printing, look at the size and scale the author lists, since a box intended for dice is much smaller than one meant for storage. Check the number of parts and how they join, whether the lid is a friction fit or a hinge, and whether the author notes supports or a specific orientation. Material and settings matter for thin walls and overhangs, and photos of real prints show how the surface detail and the lid gap turn out in practice.

If the results feel narrow, try related wording: container, trinket box, stash box, deck box, dice tray or jar. Adding a theme such as gothic, Halloween, pirate or fantasy usually surfaces variants of the same shape. You can also search by function instead of shape, for example a lidded box or a nestable box, and then filter by the style you want.

FAQ

Preguntas frecuentes

What is the difference between a skull box and a skull container?
The words overlap, but a box usually means a lid or a closing mechanism, while a container can be an open bowl or jar. Check the description and photos to see which one you are getting.
Do these models need supports?
It depends on the design. Overhanging jaw, teeth and hollow interiors often need them, while print-in-place and nestable versions are usually arranged to avoid them. The author's page states what the model expects.
How do I choose a size for a skull box?
Decide what goes inside first, then compare that with the dimensions on the model page. Scaling a box changes wall thickness and lid clearance, so small adjustments are safer than large ones.
Can I use these boxes for dice or cards?
Some models are drawn around a specific deck or dice set and list internal dimensions. Others are decorative and only approximate. Measure your dice or cards and compare before printing.
