Octocopter 3D Models: STL Frames and Drone Parts

This collection gathers 3D-printable octocopter designs, from full airframes to individual brackets and mounts. Most files are meant for FDM 3D printing in stiff filaments, with a few parts printed in flexible material. It is useful if you are building or repairing an eight-rotor drone and want to compare layouts before committing to a print. Polyzon does not confirm whether models are free, their price, license, official status, affiliation, safety or fitness. Check the current terms at the source.

«Octocopter 3D Models: STL Frames and Drone Parts»

The models fall into a few groups. There are full airframes, including foldable frames and flat plate designs, and coaxial or ducted layouts where two rotors share an arm. Others are add-on pieces: camera mounts, payload plates, retractable landing gear and small printed fittings such as motor mounts or arm clamps. Small FPV-oriented builds appear as well, usually with shorter arms and lighter printed parts.

When choosing a file, look at the size and scale first, since arm length and prop diameter decide whether the frame matches your motors and electronics. Check the number of parts and how they assemble, whether the author calls for supports, and which material and settings are listed. Photos of real prints on the model page show how the part actually comes out, especially on thin arms and motor mounts.

To narrow the results, try related terms such as drone frame, UAV platform, coaxial rotor or tricopter and quadcopter if you are comparing configurations. Adding a use case, like camera mount, landing gear or payload, brings up accessory parts rather than complete frames. If you already know the prop size or arm span you need, include it in the query.

FAQ

Preguntas frecuentes

What filament works for octocopter frames?
Rigid filaments such as PLA, PETG or a fiber-filled blend are common for arms and plates, while flexible filament is often used for dampers and landing feet. The author's page usually lists a recommended material and settings.
How many parts does a printed octocopter frame have?
It varies widely: some designs are a few flat plates plus arm clamps, others are multi-part assemblies with separate landing gear and mounts. The part count and assembly notes are usually described on the model page.
Do printed octocopter parts need supports?
It depends on the geometry. Flat plates and many brackets print without them, while overhanging mounts and ducts may need them. Check the author's print notes before slicing.
Can I scale an octocopter model to a different prop size?
Scaling changes wall thickness and hole diameters, so motor mounts and screw holes may no longer fit. It is safer to look for a design already drawn for your prop size or arm span.
