3D Models for Circuit Board Enclosures and STL Cases

This collection gathers STL enclosures designed around specific circuit boards, from small microcontroller units to power and recorder boards. Each model is built for a particular board outline, so the choice starts with the board you already have. It is a practical starting point for 3D printing when an off-the-shelf box does not match the connector layout. Polyzon does not confirm whether models are free, their price, license, official status, affiliation, safety or fitness. Check the current terms at the source.

«3D Models for Circuit Board Enclosures and STL Cases»

The models fall into a few groups. There are compact shells for microcontroller and single-board computers, larger boxes for power supply and voltage regulator boards, and housings that leave room for a hard drive next to a recorder board. Sensor, detector and remote key boards usually get small two-part covers, while machine and CNC control boards tend to need wider boxes with openings for wiring and connectors.

When choosing a model, compare the board dimensions and hole spacing with the drawing or photos on the author's page, then check where the connectors, buttons and indicators sit. Look at how the case closes, how many parts it has, whether screws or inserts are used, and whether the author lists supports, layer height, wall count and material. A test print of the lid or a corner helps confirm the fit before printing the whole box.

To narrow the search, try the board name together with words like enclosure, case, housing or box, and add the board size or form factor. Related terms such as DIN rail mount, project box, vented cover, snap-fit lid or wall bracket often surface models that a plain board query misses. Searching by the device the board belongs to, for example a recorder, a driver or a power supply, also brings up matching shells.

FAQ

Questions fréquentes

How do I find a case that matches my board?
Search by the board name or its dimensions, then compare the outline, mounting holes and connector positions shown on the model page with your own board. If the board is not named, measure it and look for a parametric or adjustable enclosure.
What should I check before printing an enclosure?
Check the internal clearance around tall components, the openings for ports and cables, and how the parts join. The author's page usually lists the recommended material, layer height and whether supports are needed.
Can I adjust a case that almost fits?
Many designs are parametric or include editable source files, so wall thickness, port cutouts and mounting posts can be changed. Simple scaling works only if the board and the openings scale together.
Do these cases need screws or inserts?
It depends on the design: some close with snap-fit tabs, others use screws, heat-set inserts or a sliding lid. This is normally stated in the model description or visible in the photos.
