Pan Tilt Systems: 3D Models for Camera Mounts

This collection gathers 3D models for pan and tilt systems: servo-driven heads, FPV turrets, webcam brackets and adjustable camera mounts. Most of them are small mechanical assemblies meant for 3D printing in a few parts and combined with standard servos or brackets. It helps if you already know which camera you want to move and how much space the mount can take. Polyzon does not confirm whether models are free, their price, license, official status, affiliation, safety or fitness. Check the current terms at the source.

«Pan Tilt Systems: 3D Models for Camera Mounts»

The models fall into a few groups. FPV turrets and double mounts are built around small board cameras and often hold two servos, one for each axis. Heads for webcams and indoor cameras tend to be simpler brackets that clip or screw onto a housing, while heavy-duty and universal versions use thicker arms and larger bearing surfaces. Panorama heads sit closer to photography, with a rotating base and a tilting plate.

Before printing, look at the dimensions and scale on the model page and compare them with your camera body and lens. Check how many parts the assembly has, whether they are meant to be screwed, glued or snapped together, and whether the author lists supports, material and print settings. Photos of real prints show how the moving joints behave and how much clearance the designer left between the rotating parts.

To narrow the search, try synonyms such as pan-tilt head, turret, gimbal bracket, rotating mount or camera bracket, and add the camera type you use. Related topics include servo mounts, tripod adapters, VESA brackets and gimbal parts, which often supply the pieces a pan and tilt build still needs.

If a model is close but not exact, check whether the mounting holes or the arm length can be adjusted in the source file before you commit to a print.

FAQ

Questions fréquentes

What parts does a pan and tilt system need besides the printed model?
Usually two servos or motors, a controller to drive them, and fasteners for the camera and the base. Some designs also expect bearings or a slip ring for continuous rotation, which the author lists on the model page.
How do I know whether a printed pan and tilt mount fits my camera?
Compare the stated mounting pattern, plate size and weight limits with your camera. If the model page gives no dimensions, the printed bracket is a guess until you measure the holes yourself.
Which material works for moving parts in a pan and tilt head?
Many builders use PLA or PETG for the arms and brackets, since the joints are not heavily loaded. For thin or stressed parts, the material and wall count the author recommends are the better guide.
Can I scale a pan and tilt model up or down?
Scaling changes hole sizes and clearances, so servo mounts and screw holes may no longer fit. It is usually safer to adjust the source model than to scale the finished print.
