3D Models of Buildings with Columns: STL Files

This collection gathers 3D models of buildings with columns: antique temples, facades, modular kits and tabletop scenery. Files come as STL and similar formats for 3D printing at different scales. It helps you find a columned structure for a diorama, a model railway layout or a tabletop board. Polyzon does not confirm whether models are free, their price, license, official status, affiliation, safety or fitness. Check the current terms at the source.

À propos de la catégorie

«3D Models of Buildings with Columns: STL Files»

Antique subjects usually reproduce a whole temple or a single column with a base and capital, while modern sets offer wall sections, arches and porch entries that combine into a facade. Modular terrain pieces are made to connect through standard joints, so one column can be repeated along a wall. Scale-model accessories are smaller and often supplied as scatter parts rather than a complete structure.

On the author's model page, check the stated size and scale first: a column sized for a 28 mm figure will be far too large for an N-scale layout. Look at the number of parts and how they join, whether the model is split for printing, and whether the author lists supports. Photos of real prints show how thin shafts, capitals and pediments come out, and the material and settings the author mentions tell you what to expect.

Search terms can be narrowed by style and function: Ionic, Corinthian or Doric columns, portico, colonnade, facade, archway or temple. Related queries such as modular terrain, diorama bits, model railway building or book nook lead to the same kind of files. Combining a style word with a scale or a use, for instance a column set for wargaming scenery, cuts the results down.

FAQ

Questions fréquentes

What scale are columned buildings printed in?
Authors usually state a scale or a height in millimetres on the model page. Match that figure to your layout or figure size before printing, since the same subject appears in several scales.
Do columns need supports?
It depends on the geometry. Slender shafts and capitals with overhangs often need them, while flat-backed facade pieces may print without. The author's page usually notes this.
Can columns from different sets be combined?
Only when the scale and the joint style match. Modular systems use their own connectors, so parts from unrelated kits may not line up.
Which file formats appear?
STL is the common format, and some authors also provide OBJ or 3MF. Check the file list on the model page before downloading.
