The models fall into a few groups. Hose and vacuum adapters change one diameter or thread into another, while spool adapters alter hub size or holder geometry so a reel sits correctly on a machine. Which material should I use for an adapter?
Consider the load, temperature and wear at the joint. Stiff materials hold threads and flat faces well, while tougher ones resist cracking when parts are pushed together. Check the settings the author lists as a starting point.
Can I just scale an adapter in the slicer?
Scaling changes every dimension at once, including threads and wall thickness, so the fit usually drifts. It is safer to find a version made for the size you need or to adjust the model itself.
