Minecraft Barrel

Do you love squares, pixels, and Minecraft? Well, then this barrel is made for you. Now you can hide your most valuable items not only in the game but also in real life. And this wonderful square friend will help you with that. I have added all the key details; the lid simply inserts into the groove (without fixation). The box itself can become a part of your interior decor.

You can use it as a piggy bank or for jewelry, but best of all, just put whatever you want inside, or whatever fits 🙂

External dimensions - fully assembled: H - 88mm, W - 88mm, L - 88mm.

Internal dimensions: H - 80mm, W - 80mm, L - 80mm

Assembly:

All parts are designed so that no fitting is required during assembly, making the assembly process as simple as possible.

1. Remove the supports and, if necessary, deburr the edges after printing.

2. The rings simply slide onto the barrel from both halves and connect to each other; for a secure fit, you can glue them.

3. The lid handle is simply glued on.

I use dichloroethane glue for assembly. But you can use any other suitable adhesive for this purpose.

Printing Tips:

1. All parts are saved in the correct orientation for printing

2. Nozzle: 0.4mm;

3. Layer height: 0.2mm;

4. Set the support angle to 75 degrees. This way, supports will only be generated where needed. For small parts, I recommend using the "brim" function.

5. Infill: 20-100%;

6. Smoothing (optional).

7. Wall count: 4

8. Top/bottom layers: 4

Also, make sure the model adheres well to the print bed. I use a thin layer of PVA glue, or simply wipe the surface thoroughly with alcohol. It is important that the edges of the base and lid do not warp or detach during printing, so the box looks exactly as intended. You can also add a "brim" when printing the main parts to ensure better adhesion, especially at the corners.
